Aftersong
The event camera where the song that was playing brings the photo back.
Host an event. Everyone there adds photos from a poster, no app, no account, and every photo keeps the song that was playing. When the event ends, the film comes out and keeps it alive long after.
The app is for hosts. Your first event is free.
The morning after
The film is ready
Every photo from Maya’s birthday, each on the song that was playing when it was taken.
How it works
One host with the app. A room full of people with nothing to install. The music is what ties the photos together.
1. Create an event
Name it in the app and put the poster up: on the door, on the bar, on the table. The first event is free; every event after that is one ticket.
2. Everyone adds a photo
Guests scan the poster, take a photo in the browser, and it's added to the event with the song that was playing. No app, no account, no sign-up.
3. End it, get the film
Every photo on its song, cut into one film. Guests find it, and the album, at the same link they scanned.
Every photo knows its song
A wedding, a club night, a festival stage: the host says what is playing, from the phone in their hand, and every photo from that moment takes it. The film plays it all back the way it sounded, not as a feed to scroll.
During the event
Added · Blinding Lights
Noa’s photo is in, with the song that was playing.
If you are hosting
The app is yours. The poster is everyone’s.
- Create an event in Aftersong and save the poster, or share the link.
- Say what’s playing as the music changes: tap Listen, or pick the song. Every photo from then on takes it.
- If your event holds photos for review, keep the ones you like. The rest never join the film.
- End the event. The film cuts itself, and the poster link becomes the album.
If you scanned a poster
Take one photo. That’s the whole job.
- Open the link on any phone. It is a web page, not an app.
- Take a photo. Add your first name if you like.
- Your photo is in, with the song that was playing.
- When the event ends, come back to the same link for the film and the album.
Read this once
- Guests never install anything. The poster link is a web page. Nobody signs up, nobody pays.
- Not a livestream. Nobody is watching four hundred cameras.
- Not a photo dump. The song is the index. The film plays the event back in the order it happened.
- One price, one event. The host’s first event is free. Every event after that is a ticket, bought in the app.
- The host’s return. With the app, play one of the songs again in Apple Music and its photo comes back. Guests get the film at the link; nothing else is promised to them.
Scanned a poster?
Open the link and take a photo. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. When the event ends, the same link shows the film and the album to everyone who added a photo.
